What you get
Downloading TimeWell is free. The first 7 days include everything, with no account and no payment. After that the app carries on as TimeWell Free for as long as you like, with the features the pricing page lists. Nothing you have recorded is deleted when the trial ends, or ever because of what you have or haven't paid: TimeWell Free shows today and the 7 days before, Pro shows the rest again, and export to CSV is free in every plan. Habits that count an app or website keep counting in TimeWell Free; check-in habits past its one can't be ticked until you have Pro, and their past check-ins stay saved.
TimeWell Pro is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use every feature for as long as you like, including all future updates. It is a one-time payment: there is no subscription and no renewal. The licence belongs to the email address you buy with.
- You may use Pro on up to 2 PCs at the same time, and move it between PCs by signing one out.
- It is for you. Please don't share your account, resell the licence, or use one licence across an organisation.
- Don't decompile, modify or redistribute the app. The software itself stays ours.
The trial
The trial runs for 7 days from the first time TimeWell runs on a PC, once per PC. So that reinstalling resumes it rather than starting it again, the app registers the trial once with one-way hashed identifiers of the PC and of your Windows user on it, described in the privacy policy. No card is asked for, so the end of the trial never charges anything.
Signing in
Pro checks your licence when you sign in and roughly every few hours after that, and keeps working offline for two weeks between checks. If a licence is refunded, or every device slot is taken, Pro stops unlocking until that is resolved and the app carries on as TimeWell Free. Your recorded activity is unaffected either way: it lives on your PC and stays there.
Payments and refunds
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Their terms cover the transaction itself, and your receipt comes from them.
If Pro is not what you expected, write to [email protected] within 14 days of buying and we will refund you in full. A refunded licence stops unlocking Pro.
The post cashback
A public post, comment, reply or short video about TimeWell, made after you bought Pro through Dodo Payments, on this site or in the app, earns back the whole purchase when it meets these rules. The cashback page sets them out with examples.
- It reaches 2,000 views by itself (impressions on X) as a Reddit post or comment or a post or reply on X, or 5,000 views as an Instagram Reel, TikTok or YouTube Short. Views are organic: bought views, bots, vote manipulation and paid promotion don't count, and a post removed by moderators or as spam doesn't qualify.
- It carries a link to timewell.in or the full name “timewellapp”.
- It starts with “Ad: TimeWell refunds my purchase for this post”, so the label comes before anything else. In a video, that is on screen at the start and said out loud. A hashtag, a line at the end or a line in your profile does not count.
- Where the platform has its own paid-partnership or branded-content label and it is open to you, it is turned on.
- The claim reaches us within 25 days of your purchase, so it can be checked and refunded inside Dodo's 30-day limit: Dodo Payments refunds only within 30 days of a payment, so a later claim can't be paid.
- Ratings and reviews on the Microsoft Store never count, and nothing is ever offered for them.
- The refund is paid after the post has been checked by hand, once per purchase, and is what you were actually charged, less anything already refunded. You keep Pro. A purchase refunded this way no longer earns gift rewards.
- The program may change or end; a claim already sent is handled under the rules as they stood when you sent it.
Gift codes
Pro owners whose purchase stands (not refunded, not refunded through the cashback, and not a licence granted by hand) get a gift code. A friend who uses it at checkout, from the gift link on this site or typed in at the app's checkout, pays 10% less. For each friend who buys with it within 15 days of the owner's own purchase, the owner gets 10% of their own price back, up to 50% in total, so nobody gets Pro free this way.
- Rewards are partial refunds of the owner's own purchase, and Dodo Payments refunds only within 30 days of a payment. So they count for friends who buy within 15 days of your purchase (the app shows that date beside your code), and each is paid once that friend's 14-day refund window has passed. After that the code keeps working for friends, without a reward.
- A reward already paid stays paid, even if that friend is refunded later.
- A purchase made with your own code earns nothing back.
- If you post your gift link publicly, say that you get money back when someone buys with it.
- The percentages are what codes carry today and may change for new purchases; what a code is worth shows before you pay.
What we promise, and what we don't
TimeWell is provided as it is. We work hard to make it accurate and light, but it is a measuring tool, not a source of truth about your life, and it is not warranted to be free of errors or to suit any particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for the licence.
We may stop selling TimeWell, or stop updating it, at some point. If that happens we will say so on this site, and licences already sold keep working.
Privacy
What the app records, what it sends, and the little we hold, is set out in the privacy policy.
Law
TimeWell is made and run by an individual developer in India, and these terms are governed by Indian law. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer where you live.
