Why TimeWell exists
Phones have shown people their screen time for years. Windows never got the same for your own day: Settings files screen-on time under battery use, desktops without a battery don't get even that, and Microsoft's family tools are made for a child's account. The guide to checking screen time on Windows walks through what is there and where it stops.
TimeWell is the missing piece: every app and website, every pickup and notification, hour by hour, with a focus timer, habits and widgets around it. It is meant to show you where the time went, not to scold you about it.
How it is built
- The tracker is written in Rust and listens for Windows events instead of polling, so it sits at 0% CPU while you work and a year of history is typically under a megabyte.
- Everything it records stays in one file on your PC. There is no telemetry in the app, and no analytics scripts or tracking on this site; the checkout notes where your first visit came from. The privacy policy lists every request the app makes and what each one carries.
- Every screenshot and recording on this site is the real app, captured on a Windows PC, never a mock-up.
How it is paid for
No ads, and no data to sell. Free for 7 days, everything included. Then keep TimeWell Free, or unlock Pro once. TimeWell Free costs nothing and keeps tracking for good; Pro, a one-time purchase on the pricing page, pays for the work.
